The Dorthea Sweater is one of my very first designs, making it especially close to my heart. It is a beautiful sweater with delicate details, voluminous balloon sleeves, and a mix of different textures that create a unique look. How do you find a yarn alternative?

In all patterns from Athene Knitwear, you are free to choose the type of yarn you prefer. The most important thing is to ensure that the yarn matches the gauge stated in the pattern. This way, your final result will fit the given measurements. However, please note that if you choose a different yarn than the original, the finished sweater may have a slightly different look depending on the yarn’s properties.

For the Alma Sweater, the gauge is 24 stitches x 34 rows on 4 mm needles in stockinette stitch.
