The Athene Bamboo Bag is worked from the bottom up. First, the base of the bag is created, then stitches are picked up along the sides from which the bag is worked upward. When the bag reaches the desired height, the bamboo handles are attached simultaneously with closing off the stitches, and finally, all loose ends are woven in.
